BeautyCounter puts the truth back into beauty!

It’s crucial we educate ourselves before buying our household and beauty products today. It used to be that we just bought whatever was cheapest or what we liked, because we didn’t know that what we were buying could be the thing that could eventually kill us.

When we know better, we do better. It’s why I have to make sure you’re aware of the company BeautyCounter and their safe line of beauty products. I began using the line last year and have loved everything, especially knowing that what I’m putting on my body is safe!

BeautycounterNeverListCompanies are allowed to use the above known toxins—ingredients that have been linked to cancer, reproductive issues, hormone disruption—without telling us. We have to put a stop to this!

BeautyCounter’s mission is to get safe products into the hands of everyone. I love any company that is trying to make a difference in the world! BeautyCounter’s products also perform, and they’re as indulgent as any luxe shampoo, lipstick or oil in the market.

I use BeautyCounter’s line of face wash, lotions, shampoo and conditioner.

Did you know that…..

There are more than 80,000 chemicals on the market today. Many don’t have any safety data. This is particularly true of those used in the skin care and beauty industry

Only about 10% of the 10,000 chemicalscommonly found in personal care products have safety data.

The United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938. It’s time for change.

The European Union has spent the past two decades banning or restricting more than 1,300 ingredients, the US has only banned 11 to date.

I also love BeautyCounter’s tinted moisturizer and line of neutral makeup products that I feel good using daily.

Beautycounter has banned more than 1,500 ingredients setting a new health and safety standard

There are 3 ways to buy BeautyCounter products:

1. Simply buy them off of a consultant’s website at retail. I recommend buying from my girlfriend Toni, because she’s amazing and lives in the boonies of Minnesota and would love to hear from you!

2. Join BeautyCounter’s Band of Beauty for a $25 annual membership fee. Members get free shipping on orders over $200 and for every $300 spent members will earn a $25 credit and other perks.

3. Want to be a part of the BeautyCounter movement as a consultant? To join the company, you will need to purchase a starter kit for $85. Consultants get a 25% discount and can earn up to 35% commission.
Have you downloaded the Skin Deep Mobile App yet? It’s a fun way to scan all the beauty products that you are currently using and get a feel for how safe they are. I don’t want to tell you that the deodorant I’ve been using for years isn’t good for me. Ugh. Like I said, when you know better, then you do better. I can no longer purchase items that I know are unhealthy for me no matter how much I love them.

I am so thankful to have you a part of Beautycounter’s mission. I tell everyone you don’t have to sell it to be a part of it. Just buying the products and sharing why you love them is good enough. That way we are not supporting all of the big corporate companies that are just trying to make a buck. I know you and I have been tired of the Cancer out there but also with us having girls, one day they possibly will want to have children of their own. God forbid they can’t one day! So the more we teach them now to be safe the better! Here is to a long beautiful safe life! Xo T

I see that you totally back the BeautyCounter products and was wondering if you had an opinion of the Arbonne line. They both claim to be natural, but I think we all have different standards as far as what natural really means. If you know and have tried Arbonne products, what are your thoughts about them?

I actually use some of the Arbonne line still, as I was using them before I switched mostly to BeautyCounter. Look up their products on the Skin Deep App. It is a third party app. Not all of of their products are rated bad. 1-3 is the best, 4-6 is not good and 7-9 stay away. Arbonne has products rated 1-7. Beautycounter’s are rated 1-3. BeautyCounter is the Only company committed to not using over 1500 ingredients that have been linked to Cancer and infertility. Also most companies are able to label natural because they are using something natural but they are allowed to use many ingredients that are toxic as well, but there is currently no regulation on this. Thanks for asking Johanne!
