About
Meet Amy
Eighteen years ago, a set of triplet boys turned my world upside-down. When their younger sister followed a year and a half later, I quickly learned that I needed a parenting plan… and fast.
What was my purpose as a mother in leading these children?
And what did I want to teach and instill in them during this precious 18-year season of full-time parenthood?
Since the beginning, I’ve parented with the realization that I’m not raising kids;
I’m raising adults.
With a household that now includes five children, my husband and I consciously make difficult decisions that often go against what “all the other parents” are doing. But even when it’s been tough, I’ve known what was right for me, for my kids, and for our family as a whole because we’d taken time to claim our end goal.
Parenting today is not easy.
We want the very best for our kids, but we often feel clueless. We’re trying to fight a culture of privilege and excess while giving our children every opportunity. We’re at times exhausted, frustrated, and scared… with good reason!
Everything around us calls on us to give our kids more, more, more, yet we know in our hearts that it’s not working.
We as a society need to make a change in how we parent.
That’s why I want to inspire moms and dads to make decisions today that will help them mold the adults they hope to launch into the world tomorrow. I’m not afraid to call out what’s wrong in popular culture and help parents navigate the tough areas and get to the core of what’s really important when raising a child.
When I write and speak on parenting, I do so from real-life experience with humor and truth, motivating and inspiring parents to look at their current reality and to purposely make courageous choices and changes in their life that will help build a stronger family and personal legacy.
Whether you’re a new parent or closer to the end of your teen’s time at home, I’m alongside you on this journey. I hope to equip, empower and encourage you to intentionally parent with the end in mind.
