4 Ways to Experience The Strawberry Inn in Northern Arizona
Whether you’re seeking an outdoor adventure or a quiet retreat, The Strawberry Inn is the perfect northern Arizona getaway.
Conveniently located just a two-hour drive northeast of Scottsdale, The Strawberry Inn offers a variety of unique accommodations to suit any purpose. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing most of them firsthand, and each stay has been amazing.
4 Ways to Spend Time at The Strawberry Inn
1. Romantic Rendezvous
The Strawberry Inn is the ideal spot for couples looking to reconnect and enjoy quality time together without the kids. On our first visit, Keith and I stayed in the charming main inn.
More recently, we indulged in their newest Airstream Suite, a delightful retreat just down the road from the main inn. This unique accommodation provided the perfect blend of comfort and adventure.During our stay, we explored the stunning Tonto Natural Bridge State Park and enjoyed delicious wood fired pizza at the Old County Inn in nearby Pine. (A quick tip: check restaurant hours before you go, as we discovered they’re closed on Tuesdays!)

2. Girls’ Getaway
I’m incredibly grateful to The Strawberry Inn owners for inviting me to experience one of their cozy 2-bedroom cottages. My friend and I relished the opportunity to sleep in, take leisurely walks, and prepare healthy meals in the fully-equipped kitchen while working on keepsakes for our kids.
We savored the simplicity of our days, venturing only as far as the Inn for morning coffee from the Windmill and browsing their charming Little Free Library. (I make it a point to leave a copy of my books there each time I visit!)
3. Family Fun
When Covid disrupted all our planned family adventures in 2020, we adapted and booked a few nights in The Strawberry Inn’s spacious Bunkhouse.
Located just 0.25 miles from the main inn, the Bunkhouse was the perfect retreat for our family of seven. We bonded over outdoor activities, hiking the nearby Arizona Trail, and fishing at the Blue Ridge Reservoir.
Back at the Bunkhouse, we engaged in spirited games of Left, Center, Right on the spacious back patio.
The kids especially loved unwinding in the hot tub, while the comfortable living area provided a great space for family gatherings.
4. Solo Sabbatical
I am deeply thankful to The Strawberry Inn owners for offering me a much-needed solo retreat in one of their Airstreams. As a busy working mom and wife, carving out time for myself can be challenging, but this stay allowed me to relax, rejuvenate, and plan for our family’s upcoming summer break.
